The
Graduate School and the Graduate School Alumni Advisory
Board at Eastern Illinois University honored Roger Eddy
with a 2007 Outstanding Graduate Alumni Award this past
April.
The awards were established in 2005 to recognize professional
and personal achievement by an Eastern alumnus of a graduate
program.
Alumni are nominated by graduate programs and the selections
are reviewed and chosen by the Graduate School Alumni Advisory
Board.
Mr. Eddy was nominated by the graduate program in educational
administration.
Alumni were invited back to campus for a series of events
that included breakfasts with the provost and president
of the university, a reunion and luncheon with their home
departments, and an evening dinner and awards ceremony.
Along with
Mr. Eddy, eight other alumni were honored at this year’s
event. He earned his Masters in Educational Administration
on 1986 and a Specialist Degree in Educational Administration
in 1996.
He is currently serving his third term as State Representative
in the 109th District which covers Lawrence, Crawford,
Clark, Edgar, Cumberland, and portions of Shelby, Effingham
and Wabash counties in east-central Illinois. |
